COERVER CT EAST APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM
Apprenticeship is a combination of on-the-job training and related instruction in which workers learn the practical and theoretical aspects of a highly skilled occupation.

You have been recognized by our staff as young people that have the leadership qualities that we have identified as being highly valuable not only to your respective teams, but to the future of our club and greater community.
The goal of the program is to create a pool of possible future Coerver coaches and to help those identified players to maximize their potential as leaders both on and off the field.
STEPS AND REQUIREMENTS FOR THE APPRENTICE PROGRAM
Identification and recommendation by Coerver staff
Players MUST complete a total of 50 hours of work with a qualified staff member throughout the calendar year
Player MUST master basic ball moves as assigned
Player MUST attend and work at Coerver April Break Camp and or Coerver Summer Camp as mutually determined.
After the required 50 hours of Apprenticeship Program is completed the Player will be eligible to become a “Coerver Staff Coach” and help run team trainings as well as coaching games.
Compensation :
Graduates of the Apprenticeship program will be paid for their coaching services at a fee to be negotiated at time of promotion.
While participating in the Program, players will receive Coerver apparel to wear while working.
This position is a serious first step in developing skills necessary for becoming a leader and coach in Coerver Connecticut East.

BREAK DOWN OF WORK BY HOURS
A.
0 - 10 HOURS - Download the following application and begin learning the names and ball skill for the first section “BEGINNER”
YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO DEMONSTRATE THESE SKILLS AT TRAININGS !
LINKS WILL BE PROVIDED....
B.
Work through the “Coerver Internal Staff Module” - this will give you the basics about the history of Coerver Method and Philosophy. ( Invitation will be sent to your email, or your parents if you do not have email)
C.
Help set up and break down training session equipment.
Help Master coach develop and organize training sessions.

10 - 20 HOURS - Work at the Coerver April Break Camp
II. B.
Begin learning the “Intermediate” Ball Skills ( I will provide you login and password when you are ready.

Be prepared to run a Coerver Training Exercise for a group of players.

Mid Program Evaluation with Master Coach
